RISS base solution deployment:
HP StorageWorks RISS Installation and Startup Service
Collaborate with HP Services to streamline deployment of the infrastructure components that support basic RISS storage capabilities. RISS Installation and Startup Service deliverables include:
- Expedited configuration and installation of your RISS base solution by an HP Services specialist; this solution base can then be integrated with one or more HP StorageWorks Reference Information Manager (RIM) gateways
- Associated documentation
- Installation verification testing to validate the configuration and confirm that your RISS solution is functioning properly
- Expert advice on best practices for daily operation, plus technical orientation on the RISS configuration including basic maintenance and administration procedures
RISS Replication deployment:
HP StorageWorks RISS Replication Installation and Startup Service
This convenient HP Care Pack Service eases deployment of powerful HP RISS-based data-replication capabilities that address your business needs. Delivered by an HP Services specialist, RISS Replication Installation and Startup Service includes:
- Service planning — to collect essential information, chart a completion timeline, and document the proposed solution
- Service deployment — the HP Services specialist:
- Verifies that HP RISS Replication systems have connectivity via SMTP and HTTP
- Configures replication between HP RISS systems at primary and secondary locations
- Documents the configuration
- Installation verification testing — to confirm that data is being replicated between primary and secondary RISS systems and validate access to replicated data via the RISS Web interface
- Orientation — review of HP RISS Replication key features, basic operation, and troubleshooting
This service provides for configuration of replication between two RISS systems at up to two locations. Configuration across more than two systems or failover/failback testing of HP RIM applications is available at an additional charge, as are custom installation services. RISS Backup deployment:

Facilitate deployment of tape backup capabilities in your HP RISS infrastructure with this HP Care Pack Service. An HP Services specialist helps you meet your data-loss prevention needs via expert implementation of the HP RISS Backup solution, including:
- Service planning — to collect essential information, establish a completion timeline, and document the proposed solution
- Service deployment — the HP Services specialist:
- Verifies accessibility of your tape library to the HP RISS Backup server
- Installs HP RISS Backup server hardware
- Installs and configures HP RISS Backup server software
- Documents the configuration
- Installation verification testing — to verify that HP RISS is being backed up properly
- Orientation — review of HP RISS Backup key features, basic operation, and troubleshooting
This service includes installation and configuration of backup to a dedicated library, directly connected to the HP RISS Backup server, for one HP RISS system at a single location. Custom installation services are also available.
