Windows 2000 (SE) Compatibility Kit for NT (SE)

The Windows 2000 (SE) Compatibility Kit for NT (SE) allows NT (SE) installations to interoperate with a Windows 2000 (SE) environment. The Compatibility Kit incorporates the NT (SE) Service Pack 6 Update Kit, and therefore can be used instead of it. The recommendation is to use the Compatibility Kit when upgrading any NT (SE) system to Service Pack 6, in order to help ensure compatibility with any future Windows 2000 (SE) systems.

WTS (SE)

WTS (SE) is built to work with - and tested, assessed and approved against - a particular configuration of WTS and Service Packs. Because of the close integration of WTS (SE) with the WTS operating system, WTS (SE) users should not install WTS Service Packs until an appropriate WTS (SE) Service Pack Update Kit is available.

Y	This version of NT (SE) or WTS (SE) supports the corresponding NT or WTS version and Service Pack as supplied.
N	This version of NT (SE) or WTS (SE) does not support the corresponding NT or WTS version and Service Pack.
SPUK	This version of NT (SE) or WTS (SE) supports the corresponding NT or WTS version and Service Pack using an NT (SE) or WTS (SE) Service Pack Update Kit. Double-clicking on 'SPUK' will take you to the location from which a downloadable kit can be accessed.
2KCK	There is a compatibility kit available for this NT (SE) version and processor. Please note that NT 4.0 SP6 and the corresponding Service Pack Update Kit should be installed for the compatibility kit to function correctly.
Nc	There is no compatibility kit currently available for this configuration.
lnc	Windows 2000 (SE) compatibility for this configuration is already incorporated into this version of NT (SE). Users do not need to download a compatibility kit.
