Radius Health Group is one of a new breed of businesses operating in the Health sector. Radius is made up of a number of Medical Centres, Residential Care Facilities, Vets and Pharmacies (and a Security business). In total there are 85 companies in the group with plan to grow to 140 over the next few years.
As well as seeking a solution that provides reliable, accurate and timely financial management, Middle Market Solutions and Dynamics AX were selected by Radius to address two key issues.
Firstly, Radius operate on a shared services model for their core financial management processes. With the number of companies in the group set up and administration of each company needs to be as easy to achieve and provide a solid platform for process consistency across 3 shared service centres. To this end, Dynamics AX has been implemented so that Radius can set up a fully operational company on the system in 5 minutes. In addition, Dynamics AX's "virtual company" functionality provides Radius with a highly efficient maintenance facility which allows changes made in one company to be automatically reflected in other companies where appropriate.
Secondly, Radius had a particular requirement in their Residential Care facilities to deal with the payment of a single bed day by multiple parties (e.g. patient, insurance company, government agency etc...). This functionality was not available in any solution evaluated by Radius. However, using Dynamics AX's powerful Integrated Development Environment, Middle Market Solutions we able to develop this functionality seamlessly into the overall solution.
