They are delivered by HP Services storage specialists with in-depth data archiving know-how. And they are overseen by highly trained project managers who assign the appropriate resources; develop complete project plans; act as your single point of contact with HP; schedule and monitor your project; and provide for any unanticipated events and escalations as needed.
HP RIM for Messaging Installation and Startup Service
This service addresses Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes e-mail integration with the HP RISS solution via the HP StorageWorks RIM gateway component. HP installs, configures, integrates, and validates the correct functioning of RISS and RIM on your production e-mail server. Deliverables include:
- Service planning — to collect essential information; perform a site survey of your RISS and RIM system environment and associated RIM e-mail components; and define all necessary installation, configuration, and integration tasks
- Service deployment — the HP Services specialist:
- Reviews your RISS configuration
- Sets up the HP RIM gateway server(s)
- Configures the RIM software for integration with the RISS system
- Configures the selected mail server
- Loads all existing users from the selected mail server
- Sets up e-mail archiving for the selected mail server
- Installation verification testing — to confirm that all selected users and their associated e-mail have been archived in RISS, and to validate and demonstrate a Compliance Archive and/or a Selective Archive, depending on which license(s) you purchase
- Orientation — review of configuration details and how to identify this information on RISS, basic operational tasks, and procedures for adding mail servers and users to your existing mail environment
Services are provided for setup of one mail gateway associated with one mail server. Additional mail servers can be included through Statement of Work services available at an additional cost.
HP RIM for Databases Implementation Service
HP RIM for Databases Implementation Service facilitates rapid, smooth installation, startup, and integration of this powerful policy-based solution within your IT infrastructure. It provides a fully documented implementation according to your business requirements as detailed in a complete statement of work. Service deliverables include:
- Service planning — to collect essential information; identify any operating system, hardware, software, driver, or environmental prerequisites; document your environment; and finalize technical design details
- Service deployment — the HP Services specialist:
- Documents all design and configuration details
- Implements the agreed-upon design in your production environment, including installation of all required software components and configuration of data-retention policies you’ve defined
- Installation verification testing — to confirm adherence to acceptance criteria and identify any necessary changes in your data-retention policies
- Orientation — review of HP RIM for Databases features and functionality, management and operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting
