Expertly managed end-to-end implementation support
This fixed-price HP Care Pack service provides for installation of one HP CIC recovery server, HP CIC software on up to two protected servers and one alternate server, and management interface software on one host, plus configuration of a protection set of up to one terabyte capacity. Custom, statement-of-work services are available for larger installations and special configuration requirements.
Your installation initiative is overseen by an HP Services project manager who functions as the single point of contact between HP and your organization. Service deliverables include:
- Service planning — An HP Services specialist works with you to plan CIC solution deployment, establish a completion timeline, document the server and SAN environment into which your solution will be integrated, review policy protection options, and finalize configuration details based on the options you select.
- Service deployment — The HP Services specialist:
- Reviews your server and SAN environment to validate
that all identified prerequisites have been met
- Finalizes the HP CIC solution installation plan
- Documents all configuration details
- Installs and configures the documented HP CIC
configuration
- Creates a protection set of up to 1 TB capacity
- Executes or facilitates relevant LUN, SAN, or host
configuration changes
- Installation verification testing — Conducted to confirm product functionality, including: creating and managing a protection set, an event marker, alerts, and a snapshot; and rolling a protection set back to a recovery point.
- Orientation — Transfer of valuable knowledge to your technical staff on topics including basic solution operation and use and how to access troubleshooting information.
