EFS WAN Accelerator Installation Service deliverables include:
Service planning - The HP Services storage specialist works with you to collect all pertinent site-specific information for configuration of the Accelerator into your environment, then schedules service delivery.
- Service deployment - The HP Services specialist:
- Reviews the type of EFS WAN Accelerator to be installed, your bandwidth requirements, and your IT environment
- Confirms that the speed and duplex settings of the LAN switch and WAN router match those of the Accelerator
- Rack-mounts the Accelerator (if required)
- Connects all switch and router cabling to the Accelerator
- Enters all required configuration information
- Connects the Accelerator to the Accelerator Management Console
Installation verification testing - Verification tests confirm product operation, basic network connectivity, management console availability, file transfer acceleration, proper loading of current device software and firmware, and other operational essentials.
Orientation - Transfer of valuable knowledge to your technical staff on topics including WAN Accelerator product usage and special features.
