Map the right information management architecture for your enterprise.

Once you’ve analyzed the business drivers for your prospective Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) solution and charted its broad outlines, the next step is to determine its ultimate architectural design.

HP’s ILM Solution Architecture Blueprint Service uses the findings and recommendations of the HP ILM Business Requirement Analysis to develop a detailed description on which solution design and construction can be based. To help ensure that you have the right type and level of information to guide your investments and implementation project, this description focuses on the factors that most directly impact the proposed solution’s value, cost, and risk. Its goal is to fully explore the feasibility of the solution architecture, reduce uncertainty regarding its realization, document all essential design elements, and carefully plan all aspects of your ILM implementation.

Reap the benefits of HP’s proven design and planning know-how.

HP Solution Architects work closely with your designated representatives to create your architectural solution. State-of-the-art methodologies are applied to confirm that your finalized design and implementation plan efficiently leverages your infrastructure technologies and meets your unique business objectives.

The HP ILM Solution Architecture Blueprint Service includes the following eight stages:

  • Introduction - reviews the objectives, deliverables, and activities of the Solution Architecture Blueprint methodology
  • Blueprint preparation - establishes the vital elements of the project to develop a delivery plan
  • Information gathering - determines user requirements
  • Solution concept - elaborates key principles, models and standards; conducts a preliminary feasibility study
  • Problem specification - troubleshoots key functions, workflows, and user interfaces;  helps ensure the design includes all essential features and information
  • Solution specification - determines essential and optional solution criteria and elements
  • Project planning - confirms the feasibility assessment
  • Documentation and presentation of findings - finalizes Solution Architecture Blueprint deliverables
