Proactive services

  • Assessment - HP Services professionals collect data on your environment in support of Microsoft migration initiatives or new solution designs. Comprehensive audits, environment “health checks,” and capacity planning services help you reduce risks and achieve operational readiness to meet service-level objectives.

  • Installation and startup - HP offers diverse installation and configuration options for Microsoft operating systems and integrated elements such as VMware, Microsoft Virtual Server, and HP ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack (RDP) and Systems Insight Manager (SIM) software. For streamlined hardware deployment, HP Factory Express customizes and integrates equipment to your specifications.

  • Migration - Partner with HP Services to move smoothly from Windows NT 4.0 or Exchange 5.5. We can help you plan and execute a complete transition program, including applications and data migration services.

ITSM methodology

Effective IT Service Management (ITSM) integrates people, processes, and technology within a comprehensive best-practices framework. HP Services professionals apply industry-standard ITSM Reference Model methodologies to help you manage your Microsoft-based environment and align your IT and business goals.

Reactive services

  • Software technical support - Keep your Microsoft environment running right with high-quality support and a choice of response times and coverage levels. Service features include remote problem diagnosis and resolution; online self-help; usage advice; software defect identification; installation and update assistance; and more.

  • Microsoft Prior Version Support - To help reduce the impact of the discontinuance of Microsoft’s non-custom Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Exchange 5.5 services, HP provides problem identification and resolution support, including access to technical experts via phone or electronically; online access to tools, technical information, conferences, and symptom/solution databases; and best-endeavor problem analysis.  Optional Sustaining Engineering adds access to Microsoft engineering for critical-problem escalation.

  • Support Plus - HP Services engineers provide onsite hardware support and remote software support 13 hours per day, 5 days per week. Coverage encompasses HP products and selected multivendor hardware and software.

  • Instant Support Enterprise Edition (ISEE) - Web-based proactive remote monitoring, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and support enhance the availability of multiple operating systems including Microsoft,  HP-UX, Linux, OpenVMS, Tru64 UNIX, NonStop, and Sun Solaris; plus storage and network devices.
