LDSU V2.4 2007 release installation information
To install on Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista:
- Download the self-extracting file: ldsu_windows_v2-4-0.exe
- Run that file and specify \LDSU on the systemdrive as the To folder
- If needed, copy the license file to \LDSU\ldsu_license.dat
- Access \LDSU\docs\ldsu_getting_started.html with your browser
To install on Red Hat Linux Server 3 (or later):
- Download the zipped tar file: ldsu_linux_v2-4-0.tar.gz
- Unzip the ldsu kit file (e.g. gunzip ldsu_*.tar.gz)
- cd to a directory above where you want to install LDSU
- Restore the ldsu tar file (e.g. tar -xvf ldsu_*.tar)
- If needed, copy the license file to ldsu/LDSU_LICENSE.DAT
- Access ldsu/docs/ldsu_getting_started.html with your browser
LDSU requires a software license to synch more than 500 records. The download includes documentation and examples that can be accessed without the license.

Permanent LDSU license pricing: List price in U.S. dollars
- QS-1AAA9-CP--LDAP Directory Synchronizer (Unlimited: $20,000; 10,000 Record Limit: $10,000; 5,000 Record Limit: $5,000)
- QS-1ABA9-CP--LDAP Directory Synchronizer Additional License* ($10,000 - available for Unlimited license only)
- QS-1ACA9-CZ--LDAP Directory Synchronizer Extended Warranty and Support, 1 year ($5,000 per year per enterprise)
*One license is generally sufficient, since LDSU uses the LDAP network protocol to access the LDAP directories it is synching with (so LDSU runs on one central box on your network). An additional license is needed if LDSU needs to run on a separate box (e.g. because of separate networks or separate organizations). There is no limit to the number of directories or databases being synched. Limited record licenses may be converted to a higher limit license at a later time.
