Select the service level for your backup integration needs

This scalable solution offers three service levels:

Level 1: backup application software - The base-level service covers backup application software such as HP Data Protector, and Legato NetWorker. It includes:

  • Backup integration implementation planning
  • Software installation and configuration
  • Integration of your installed tape library in the backup software environment
  • Firmware verification
  • Functional testing of your solution, including backup and recovery of databases and applications
  • Preparation of your environment for normal backup operation
  • Documentation of your new backup environment
  • Review of operational changes with your support staff

Level 2: application integration - This level focuses on integrating your backup environment with key multivendor enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Exchange. You get all the features of Level 1, plus:

  • Project Management: a dedicated project manager determines your requirements, customizes a statement of work, and oversees service delivery
  • Design activities: a dedicated storage engineer tailors a detailed implementation and test plan
  • Implementation and testing of application agents
  • Knowledge transfer to your staff

Level 3: integration of IT management applications - This level integrates your backup environment with applications such as HP OpenView, Tivoli, and Unicenter. It includes all Level 2 features, plus:

  • Environment analysis: including your current SAN and related backup architectures, system configuration, and operating system
  • Backup architecture design: including backup domains, data volume calculations, and backup device, drives, and media
  • Application integration: smooth integration of your chosen management solution into your SAN-based infrastructure

Regardless of the service level you choose, optional ongoing support is available for your newly integrated environment. This includes access to HP Technical Support Engineers, unlimited onsite visits to resolve technical problems; installation of patches and bug fixes, and more.
