HP brings together industry-leading technologies, processes, and partners to make state-of-the-art security a reality across your enterprise.

We offer proven knowledge and know-how in such technologies as virtual private networks (VPNs); highly available firewalls; authentication solutions using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology; intrusion detection solutions; anti-virus software; identity management; smart card, biometric, and other authorization solutions; mail, attachments, and HTTP contents control; security operations center systems; and security tools, logs, and forensics.

HP Services professionals can help you build sound security practices into your everyday working environment by establishing well-trained incident management teams, performance-tested security policies, comprehensive security education programs, and efficient change management controls.

Our approach to providing leadership security design and implementation solutions is based on close collaboration with best-of-breed partners. We complement our own products, services, and expertise with those of recognized pace-setters in arenas ranging from identity management to PKI to Web portals, firewalls, anti-virus software, and secure Microsoft infrastructures. We also use proven methodologies like CSAM to ensure solutions are driven by clearly defined business objectives.

ISS RealSecure installation and start-up
Rely on HP to handle the acquisition, installation, configuration, and integration of your Internet Security Systems (ISS) RealSecure intrusion detection system for networks and hosts. We'll get you up-and-running fast with RealSecure Workgroup Manager and the appropriate operating system, server, and network sensors for your particular needs.

Your HP Service specialist:

  • Consults with your staff to collect all system-related information necessary to prepare for RealSecure installation and configuration
  • Assesses your systems to identify the appropriate network and operating system software version levels
  • Creates a complete Statement of Work specifying the ISS Sensor products to be acquired for deployment, the systems they are to be deployed on, and all required maintenance agreements
  • Installs and configures the Workgroup Manager and one or more Sensors as specified in your Statement of Work
  • Demonstrates the operation and management of the ISS RealSecure intrusion detection system and provides you with the appropriate licenses

Get your Check Point firewall up-and-running right.
No firewall is secure unless it is installed correctly. You can be sure it is done right when you include the Check Point Firewall-1 Remote Configuration Service with your HP / Check Point SolutionPaq.

An HP Services specialist performs vital installation and startup activities including:

Pre-installation consulting & planning
We consult with you to review the implementation activities to be performed, the extent of custom tailoring available, the roles and responsibilities of your personnel, and the project schedule.

Check Point FireWall-1 configuration

Your HP Service specialist:

  • Completes the Check Point FireWall-1 configuration script
  • Loads the Check Point FireWall-1 license
  • Creates objects and security policy rules to allow access through the firewall for http, https, ftp, telnet, POP3, SMTP, and NNTP protocols
  • Creates up to six additional security policy rules to allow other types of access through the firewall

System administrator orientation
We review the remote configuration with your system administrator, describing the completed configuration and answering any questions on the configuration procedures.

Cisco Secure infrastructures design and implementation
We can assist with the specification, design and implementation of secure network infrastructure based on a Cisco framework. These components cover the whole range from perimeter security through load balancing for resilience and availability to control of access to your internal network and desktop security. This means that only authorised machines can connect to your network reducing the potential sources of malicious code and uncontrolled data access. The Cisco desktop security can provide “Day Zero” protection against malicious code, even before anti-virus signatures have been created and distributed across the network. (New para) An HP specialist will work with you, either at the design stage of a new or upgraded network infrastructure or when you are looking for better protection within an existing network, to identify key areas in which we can help, assist you in building a business case for these, and work with you right through to implementation.
