Company profile

  • Large mobile communications provider in Spain
  • Over 15 million customers
  • Services covered include mobile voice, SMS/MMS
  • The initial storage configuration was over 100 TB.

Solution

  • The customer deployed DRAGON to help them comply with the Spanish Data Retention legislation that was enacted in 2007.
  • Only HP was able to offer the complete solution the customer desired.  In the end, the flexibility of the DRAGON product combined with its investment-wise value resulted in DRAGON being selected over all other alternatives

Results

  • Customer went live in 3 months
  • Initial volume is 500 million CDR’s per day.  This number soon increased to 1 billion CDR’s per day
