RVU H06.18 for HP Integrity NonStop ships

H06.18 is a generally available release version update (RVU) of the HP NonStop Operating System, Mission Critical Edition, supporting HP Integrity NonStop servers. H06.18 shipments begin on May 19, 2009.

Highlights of RVU H06.18 include the following new and enhanced functions, as well as general defect repair:
  • Release of TS/MP 2.4 which includes:
    • Greater availability through online upgrades of domain-based Pathway applications.
    • Greater scalabiilty with increased server links per processor.
    • Improved PATHCOM usability with command line history and editing.
    • Increased manageability through logging of additional commands.
  • Safeguard improvements including
    • Increased security against denial of service attacks
    • Improved usability of Safeguard commands by including wild card characters in the ADD GROUP MEMBER and ALTER GROUP MEMBER commands.
  • Increased Open System Services (OSS) capacity by raising the limit on the number of OSS file and socket opens per processor and per system.
  • Greater SQL/MX manageability for users wishing to replicate and backup histograms and metadata through the use of the utility mxexportddl and the new mximportddl utility.
  • Better performance of database clients using ODBC and JDBC drivers through the use of statement caching.
  • LTO-4 labeled tape support.
