The October edition of the H06.16 is a generally available release version update (RVU) of the HP NonStop Operating System, Mission Critical Edition, supporting HP Integrity NonStop servers. H06.16 shipments begin on December 2, 2008.
Highlights of RVU H06.16 include the following new and enhanced functions, as well as general defect repair:
- Support for the Internet Protocol Cluster I/O Module (i.e., IP CLIM).
- Increase to the maximum size of DP2 disk volumes.
- Enhancements to HP Safeguard software, including improved password management and auditing of changes to Safeguard objects.
- A new implementation of the socket interface to the AF_UNIX family of transport providers. This new implementation provides greater reliability, performance, and compatibility with open systems.
