Now you can increase your HP NonStop SQL/MP database availability and reliability with the newest addition to the NonStop business continuity product suite: NonStop SQL DDL Replicator (NonStop SDR). Working in cooperation with NonStop Remote Database Facility (NonStop RDF) software, NonStop SDR ensures that, after performing NonStop SQL/MP Data Definition Language (DDL) operations, such as creating a table, adding a column, or moving a partition, changes will automatically be replicated and implemented at the correct point in the audit stream on the backup database.
NonStop SDR removes manual labor from weekly DDL replication updates and thus reduces vulnerability to human error—the greatest factor to consider in designing successful disaster tolerant environments. Manually implementing DDL operations on a backup database requires stopping all applications accessing the database. With NonStop SDR’s full automation, and in collaboration with NonStop RDF, making routine changes no longer requires downtime: application availability and replication reliability both increase.
