H06.15 is a generally available release version update (RVU) of the HP NonStop Operating System, Mission Critical Edition, supporting HP Integrity NonStop servers.  H06.15 shipments begin on August 20, 2008.

Highlights of RVU H06.15 include the following new and enhanced functions, as well as general defect repair:

  • Improved concurrency for Open System Services (OSS) applications using the pthreads library by supporting non-blocking regular file IO.
  • Greater performance of applications compiled with the TNS/E C/C++, COBOL, and ePTAL compilers due to improved object code optimization.
  • Increased debugging capability in Native Inspect, including memory leak detection and improved ability to debug optimized code.
  • Better security through improved Safeguard auditing of user, alias, and group records (these records now include creator and creation timestamp fields).
  • Improved security in iTP WebServer with support for logical network partitions. Logical network partitions allow administrators to segregate systems in the same physical network into separate partitions, thereby decreasing unwanted accessibility.

For a complete list of product versions and software product revisions (SPRs) included in RVU H06.15, refer to the CONTENT file found on the site update tape (SUT) in Y9230H15 and on the HP Technical Documentation website.
